Survey says....Conan would make fun of it. It's his job to be funny/entertaining. You can't do that on a comedy show while in the process of genuinely expressing appreciation and gratitude unless you're being completely sarcastic. The only TV personalities that would show any level of valuable or worthwhile appreciation would be the hosts of car shows. Top Gear could pull it off, but only if it's a show where they present several comparable cars for a specific purpose (i.e. DE) and make an entertaining piece out of it. And when they're done comparing the cars, they'll use them for the next show, where they'll try to turn them into amphibious vehicles or cross an African desert.
