No It's not worth it, it probably wouldn't happen anyway.

Jay Leno is the obvious choice for a TV/Personallity Spokesperson. A 'Real' car guy, hands on, no BS, respected by all for his level of detail. It would take two cars, one to be restored to pristine condition, for the garage/museum, and one to be modified to 1000 hp for driving.

LOL. Ok, staying out of the "Conan sucks" discussion...
I'd say that even if we DID pull together and buy Conan a 951, I think the chances of him doing something stupid with the car (smashing/destroying it) are far greater than the chances of him doing something cool with it.

not sure if this will ever pan out but if it does and you need someone in LA to pick up, check out, deliver to burbank or anything like that, i am volunteering my services. would love to see a 951 on tv but it is a bit of a random car for a tv network to air on a modern show. also, i too think he would probably just damage the car. also, why a $7500 951? how about a $3000 one with issues? then if he destroys it, not such a big deal.

"the first 20 years is a test to find out if you're interested." - Gerry Lopez.
same with your cars.
value ? what the hell are we talking about ? value ? the general public doesn know these cars even exist. 1 out of 500 people has maybe a clue about what the hell i'm driving, much less cares. i see guys spending $10, 15, 20 k keeping, improving, driving their 944s and Turbos. in some cases even more $$$, just to return to the forums one day, saying they're moving on... what they really should do is if they really want to be daily driving the car. if you can't sell and get anything near what you put in, then, i say this; your car is worth zero. it's easier to think of it that way.... it's easier to work and make 7 thousand dollars than it is to spend 22 thousand dollars and a few years to get 7 back. when all you've done is drive the thing 28 k miles, and you're just now getting interested.

I love these cars.. I really do. Maybe I'm unrealistic but someone has to champion these cars, I really would prefer this car over the 80s era 911 for daily use.
