Default Cheap Tools

Disassembling the 2.7 core today... My "Powerbuilt" hex key socket snapped off right inside the allen head bolt inside the cam tower. I had a Snap-On version of the tool in the box, but I just grabbed the first one I found. The part that broke off is wedged into the bolt nice and tight -- kind of like a snapped off EZ-Out. This will probably burn through my best Cobalt bits.... Any suggestions?

No fun at all, I used a ball end once bad mistake, snapped of and I had to drill out.

Is there enough there to slip a small diameter 6mm socket over the broken allen ?

Tap it with a punch to loosen and extract with a magnet.

Really good idea - and turn it clockwise, just enough to loosen the broken piece, not try to remove the cam tower bolt.

I got it -- used a set of mini long needle nose pliers. Thanks for the good suggestions all!
