thanks...they turned out great! However my reason for the coating was the thermal qualities. Since we had to cut the heat shields off I wanted to reduce underhead temps AND keep the energy inside directed at the turbo

If it wasn't for those two reasons I wouldn't have spent the cash...though a small amount for such a nice result!

Default Up and running!

Big shout out to Phil ("Phlip")...he went above and beyond to make sure the repair was done right. He did more than the headgasket and turbo swap! Very knowledgable, conscientious of everything that he touched AND reasonable!

The car is running fine though I can see that I won't enjoy the larger turbo until I do a few more supporting mods. I already miss the spool up of the smaller turbo and part throttle response. At low RPM's (below 4000) the car feels flat, boring. When the boost comes on the car wails no doubt. I tried one full throttle blast on the highway (80-130) and it was a rocketship for sure.

I am convinced that the LR Super Series 53 turbo is being choked on both ends. I still have the stock AFM and my exhaust isn't enough. I have a 2.5" cat bypass and 2.5" cat back. Just not cutting it.

I'll open another thread because i would REALLY like some feedback on what's needed to improve throttle response.
