Vacuum in the exhaust ?, unless you're going for a larger bore discharge pipe I don't think there's much to gain going bigger than 2.5 inch for the system, I don't understand the efficiency of systems that get bigger for the tail section either, the exhaust gas is cooler and the volume has contracted I would have thought.

On a modified car maybe. I have dyno tested a 3" exhaust (no cat) vs a 2.5" exhaust (no cat) on a stock car, and the gains were 4hp and 7ft/lbs of torque. The biggest gains are from getting rid of the cat.

For the finacially impaired, what would be the best way to replace the cat and achieve that free flowing stock exhaust?
Oh yea, I only use the car for closed course events...![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
(didn't mean to hijack...sorry)

I'd like to see the dyno test of a 3" with a good performance cat vs 2.5" factory with cat.
