Turbo Quick Spool Valve
As you all know, the 951 has some pretty crazy turbo lag. Has anybody done anything like this? I know it's not designed for our cars, but how could we make this work?

It'd be nice. Are there any other ideas for making faster spool up?

yeh sid has made his own one of those and reports dropping the boost threshold about 800 rpm.
I still keep choppin and changin between gt35 and 37 vgt turbos the gt3576vgt has the mounts and plumbin almost done but i think it will be to small if i ever get a3.0 screwed together ..as i've seen the gt37vgt spun up ok on 2.0 subaru on a you tube vid i want to go with it but its such a fat heavy monster of a thing . it think one of those quick spool valves and a gt35 twin scroll is a great idea .and bound for glory .
I'm goin to pick up another gt37vgt from a gmc duramax today it has twin turbine inlets i'm hopin its less trouble to mount . to mount

The description says it mounts in between the turbo exhaust and the down pipe. Why couldn't you just fabricate your own custom down pipe flange to fit this? Given that the valve fits your turbo? I really want something like this...I have the Super 53 from LR, which is a T04E turbine housing if I remember correctly, but I dont know what the compressor side is...anyone know? Hitting boost at 3,500 is getting old lol.

Need a twin scroll housing.
As for other things to improve spool, a good wastegate and controller is the first place to start after making sure theres no exhaust leaks at all pre turbo. After all that, I would wrap the headers and crossover, and look at tuning.

My headers are wrapped already, and all of the cracks were welded. My wastegate is stock and is homeboy shimmed with 1/8" washers. I have Lindseys MBC. I'm getting my car back from RUF today, and am going to have to tune it. Im going to a friends performance shop to tune it when I get back.

Because the valve blocks off one of the scrolls, forcing the air through just one scroll essentially reduces the A/R of the turbine housing. This is what makes it spool quicker. Then once x boost is reached it opens up the other scroll, increasing the A/R, for more flow.

The other problem is there is not really any room for the actuator in a 951 with the heat shields and everythng else in there! But we have sold quite a few T4 twin scroll turbos for the 951s so for those guys this could be an option if you can get it to fit!
