I think they look ok depending on the color of the car. They look pretty good on a red car, for example.
My car is black. Grey teledials on a black car doesn't look so hot. I run 'em because I have worn out Sport Cups on my 18s (which I'm trying to save for AX events.) Some day I hope to get a better looking set of wheels to DD the car on (the car rides/drives SO much nicer with the 16s... 18s it follows every little groove in the road!) For now I live with a dated looking car when I have the phonies on.

well they are making 19" fuch's now. I wonder how an 18" or 19" phone dial would look

I remember when I saw my first Porsche in the '80's with the new phonies. I thought they were way cool! I still like them, probably because I am a little nestalgic, but they are a good quality wheel. They will have to do for now anyway as there are more important things to upgrade on the car first.
As other posters have said, the biggest drawback is the 16" tire size availability. 245/45/16 in particular.

Over time the phonies have grown on me (I used to dislike them immensely). But, I was fortunate enough to have my car come with its original 16x7 & 16x8 Fuchs with black centers. I will never change the wheels.
