Default Authority Chips

I know these are great, but I was curious do these chips require anything else to run them. I have an all stock car except K&N Cone Filter.

They seem like a cheap upgrade.

Stage 2 chips require a jet that you install into the banjo bolt going to the CV.

What kind of Jet? Will the lindsey boost enhauncer take that spot? Also what about the stock FPR?

My car has an Autothority set (and a jetted banjo bolt) and makes more power than I can really handle. I bought it with the chips and jet. Stock turbo and stock exhaust. The boost gauge reads 2 bar on full boost, etc, but I'm not wild about the tune, generally. It is my understanding that there are better options out there now.

Get chips and a boost controller from Vitesse.

Autothority chips are documented to be too rich in low-middle revs and dangerously lean on top. Not my cup of tea: I soon bought Vitesse chips

This is just my opinion, but its formed with almost twenty years of playing with 944's and 951's. Autothority chips are a very weak choice compared to what else is out on the market now.

Stay away from Autothority and get Vitesse. Seriously, its well worth the money, you won't be sorry.

I saw they were awefully cheap. Its always too good to be true. Those 951Max chips look nice as well though.

If you pick cheap with a Porsche, it will usually only cost you a little more in the long run than paying for quality up front.

I went from the Autothority chips to the Lindsey Instant rwhp kit and the difference was huge, even without the wastegate shims.

Autothority chips and MAF, with LBE, are working just fine on my car.
