i've seen a few of these, but who sells them. If people still make them?

anyone any idea?

I'm making my own got the martial a while ago and I'm using BMW rear window laches so it can pop up and down ..

A company called Saratoga used to make these.
Sometimes they come up on Ebay for mad amounts of money.

Should be simple to make yourself?

i was talking about making one with my dad by using most of the pieces from the original one. but whats worring is the surrounding where the rubber sits on

we where just talking about it with rough ideads said outloud but when it comes to making it, he'll find a way as he usually does.

clark rubber and auto stores have heaps of different edge sealer's
And i thought saratoga's where glass..

Saratoga made their roofs from tempered glass, not perspex.

The reason it's harder to do than you might think is because the sunroofs are curved, not flat, and matching the curve is difficult. I expect you may be able to get a flat piece to seal eventually with enough messing around, but it wouldn't look nearly as good as properly shaped roof.

lexan/acrylic in a big oven will get you that shape..

that's my main problem, would be getting the 'material' to curve in the same shape as the roof.

I doubt if you could use one of "PaPa Johns" pizza ovens to heat it up to bend. That is about the size oven you would need.

I was thinking of making a panel from lexan and sealing it on there with windshield adhesive.

thin poly carb curves easy to take the form I'm thinking or just using more fasteners to hold it in place
or posibly glue a curved profile stiffener to it ..
