I put the headers through their first real punishment yesterday. I guess I had been losing a lot of power through my old cracked header for quite some time as my car feels like a rocketship now with the K27 boosting like it should. I bettered my lap time by 1.5 seconds in very cold conditions (5°C) before the rain fell. Previously I could only manage 97.9s and this time around I brought it down to a 96.4s on what I consider a slightly scruffy lap. Obviously any comparison to stock is not possible because of the crack. The headers did turn blue right away.
The second picture is tougher to see the header past the SFR intercooler and oil cooler but it shows my car next to the fastest car of the day.

WOW, just wow!
Tim, I get the point you're making, but not the smartest statement in terms of marketing there.
Makes you sound like you don't need, want or appreciate the 944 business.
I know, I know...it's a context thing.
So when it comes time, I'll be sure to look for LR, FabSpeed or OBX for my exhaust needs.

I did not get this from Tim's post in any way shape or form. I think you seriously misunderstood his post, and at no fault of Tim's. He simply states that if he sold only 944 parts, he would not be in business. Nothing more there to read into. Tim has been an integral part of the 944 community for years.
My 2 cents after browsing this thread...

Funny, I was just thinking about this thread today. I need to replace my headers and am debating getting my spare (maybe cracked ? ) headers swaincoated or getting these.
Have you been driving the car besides this track event? About how many miles or heat cycles have these been through? Pleased?
Nice to see the car feels better, my car has been feeling slow as heck and not even reaching peak boost - even with the 60-1. I'n missing out on some power!
Thanks

just wondering why nobody has mentioned them in this thread?!

i figure he would need more time. its just with my experience using this header for different times, i either had no problems what so ever or they cracked right away.

B&B headers are $1200 new?? Wow, i paid $200!!
I hear you about the how bad for $300.....just thought i would throw in the B&B headers for comparison like the SFR headers!!
