Default Autozone Axles

Has anyone used them on a Turbo before? They have a lifetime warranty doesn't sound to be such a bad idea.

924T or 944T?... What are they asking for them if you don't mind?

If you are doing the labor your self, I say give it a shot. Otherwise, it is a risk as the warranty is only for the parts, not labor to change them out if they go.

I like autozone. I bought different parts from them and when these parts have a lifetime warranty, they give a new one again at no cost if they go bad.

This is for a 944 Turbo BTW. I am thinking my CV's need to be replaced so I figured why not just replace the whole thing instead of rebuilding it myself.

I saw that rockauto offers rebuilding service for $72 an axle minus core charge. Maybe thats a better option?

Half shafts only take a little time to change out. If you think you may be over powering them you may want to consider going to a 963 CV. $130 each is reasonably priced. I'd go for it.

What's a 963 CV? Are you saying that there is a factory option to go up in size of CV and axle??

He probably means a 964 CV joint. Maybe theyre stronger.

IMHO stop the swaying then get stronger CVs, especially at $130/ea.

Theres been reported success using a brace to stop the transaxle from swaying as much as it does. That is what seems to kill CVs quickly.

Here you go:

The only thing that I wonder is if it is wise to completely remove all movement?
