The brace wouldn't remove all movement... Just limit side-to-side movement. I plan on doing this soon...

Why not go with a solid transmission mount. I have torn up a couple of CVs on the left hand side. My tuner shop suggested that I might want to go to a 963 CV instead of using the 951 CVs. I assume that they are a direct replacement. Since I have gone solid transmission mount I haven't torn up any CVs.

So can you confirm that the 963 (is that really not a 964...or a 936 perhaps) CV fits?

So no one has used the Autozone axles/halfshafts? Also on my old 924S I actually filled the transmission mounts with windshield urethane. It made a big difference in wheel hop. I would recommend it to anyone to do if they need to replace the mounts or anything like that. It makes the mount stiffer but yet still able to move a little bit.

Don't run solid tranny mounts on a street car, and don't run solid tranny mounts without running solid motor mounts. There is zero benefit for doing this unless you have a track only car that receives regular attention.

What are you talking about 968 what?

Btw I am not going to run solid mounts on anything with this car not worth it.

86 924S - I'll answer your question. I've been using the AZ half shafts on my 951 (dyno'd @ 290rwhp on Mustang dyno) for aliitle over a year and have put on roughly 4000 miles with no noticable wear. Those miles include 8 AX events and 3 track days. They are smaller in diameter than stock shafts and will probably fail quicker than the OEM ones, but! they are warrantied for LIFE and they're easy to remove and replace. At the price, I don't mind changing CV's every 2-3 years.

Smaller diameter should mean less weight! Do the actual shafts EVER fail?
