After a long slumber...
Its been a while since I have had a chance to do anything with my 951. Its been sitting in storage for over a year, due mostly to life having a way of interferring with my fun and free time, and unfortunately my 951 was paying the price. So, today I decided to pull it out, dust it off, and stretch its legs.
Hooked the battery up, cranked the key and...
...it fired right up. Actually, it fired right up and died, but I realized that I hadn't turned on the power to the MAF, so it took a second turn of the key, but that time, it kept running.
About 75 miles later, I pulled in the driveway and my wife asked me why I had such a stupid smile on my face. I think she knew the answer before she asked it.

Me too. When my wife and I go for a ride (I usually drive). I catch her just smiling at me and when I ask her why the smile, she tells me I love to see you enjoy the car so much.

Even though it's been my DD for nearly the past 2 years (lotsa driving) and I sometimes feel it is kinda slow or something is wrong. .It really puts a smile on my face each time I run it through 3rd and 4th. Such a great highway car too!

On a serious notes, 951s are great cars. Its a comfortable cruiser and gets decent gas mileage when you are not in it too much. It got a good mix of old school, throw back kind of look...understated but still cool. And still good looking even with the now 2 decades old design. Happy boosting.

My street car sat in pieces over the winter, finally got it on the road in the last month or so. When I drove it home from work in traffic today all I could think about was how much more fun it would be to be doing a lap at Heartland Park in it. Hanging half a tire off the inside of the apex then drifting sideways at the exit of 7 kicking up dirt with just a bit of the right rear tire, tracking out of 9 at 100mph leaned over hard, going over alpha zero at 120+.........
