Default WBO2 installation help... pics?

I just got my LC-1 in the mail today. Now, I have a few questions about the install.

First off, I know to put the sensor in the downpipe (or further back) of a turbo car... I will do this when I get my turbo engine in. However, with my current NA engine, would the stock O2 sensor location be alright? Would it read correctly (no pressure, but turbulence)? I shouldn't have a problem switching from the NA location to a turbo location... From under the car, the mounting locations don't seem to be too far apart.

And second, where are you guys running the wires through the fire wall, and where are you mounting the "brain" box (where the sensor plugs into)?

I've searched, and all I can find are threads on mounting the sensor.... If I searched failed, feel free to post the link to the thread that I need

Thanks!

mine is mounted on the cat pipe right by the starter, wires go up to the control box which I mounted on the firewall behind the reference sensors. then I ran the wiring behind the battery, drilled a new hole to the cabin and mounted the display inside the glovebox.

My WBO2 sensor is almost exactly 180 degrees from this one, with my wires run along the frame, up past the master cylinder area, and into the cabin next to the fuse panel, all my electronics and controller (Zietronix) is located in the pass foot-well by the DME.

^^That's the information I'm looking for. Did you have to drill into the firewall?

I realize this isn't rocket science .... but its nice to have some different ideas for mounting extra components.

No drill, to the outside of the fuse block there is a pass thru, mine was RTV, I cut out the old RTV, and re-rtved it once I ran all my wires thru it... I'll take a pic in a few minute..cooling off right now!

just as a reference, I put my wideband wires through the same spot, but on my car there was a rubber grommet there...

I think the zeitronix probably has more length on the wires, with my LC-1 there was pretty much just the one option as far as where to mount the control box. Anywhere else and you need a longer sensor wire. Not the ideal spot but I didn't want to splice the sensor wires.

Yeah, the Zietronix wire is like 2 miles long.... Could have mounted the sensor in the tail pipe and still reached the DME...

Yeah, no way the control box will reach that far, but its great for the wiring. Not only for the WBO2, but for the other gauges I have yet to run wires for.

Still a big help!
