NEVER in that whole series did you ever think, "Hmmm, I could get a twelfth 944...or maybe I should try a 911 this time?"

86 944 N/A - Had a lot of work done to it- wheels, suspension, exhaust, chips, sound system etc...It was my pride and joy in 1993. A week after I got it back from the shop, a lady decided to make an left turn into me in the middle of rush hour traffic. The car was totaled.
86 944 Turbo - 3 months later, I figured I need more powah so got one of the rare early turbo with the Pearl white paint and burgundy interior. As luck would have it, this car was broken into 3 times in a six months! Either it was sitting on bricks or was taken for a joy ride by some retards. So much $$$ went into it and I enjoyed driving it for about a year but at the end, it runs but was in pretty bad shape cause of the damages to the frame from all the broken-ins so I sold it...
88 TS - 6 years ago and with a garage this time, I finally got the courage to get into a turbo again...

Wait now. Here's the thing. Doesn't lart have to discount the cars he owned for the simple purpose of ripping them into shreds...and similarly, shouldn't one be disqualified from those that one crammed a Chevy V8 into?
This thread is a purist thread. How many PORSCHES have you owned, not bought to destroy or crow barred a LSX engine into. Those shouldn't count.

There's nothing wrong with those particular uses, but they don't fit the spirit of this particular thread. IMHO.

ps lart....I'm gonna need a new 2 piece crossover soon!

Of all the cars that I have bought, the vast majority have been running cars, some I enjoyed driving for a week maybe two. Only a few were crashed and burned.
