So this is going to be a dyno session? Uhmm I'm in to see the awsome 217hp. Maybe. Actually I have to beg my wife to go since we have a newborn. Ohh and I have a lot of questions for the experts.

I make 238! It's about how you use it.

I'll have the dyno set up, we'll run as many cars as we can in an afternoon. If you want to tinker/change things, bring tools. After everyone's done a run, we can see who wants a re-run.

It will, of course, be a general picnic/BBQ/hangout. I have 2 little kids (6 and 3) so other kids are welcome. I'm sure my wife would like to hold a newborn again...

John, we'll need snack food, BBQ food and beer. But, first, I think we need to figure out roughly how many people are coming - then we'll be able to figure out how much food we need.

Let's get a head count then. Gina will want to cook. Perhaps its possible for us to bring lots of things to cook and she can help cook/prepare there? Or if that won't work we can prepare what we can beforehand and bring the day of.

OK, so I just finished cleaning the dishes, doing the laundry and changing some diapers. Wife say that it's OK for me to go. Therefore count me in. I'm waiting for the LR Speed and Reference harness from Paseb so that I can replace it before I go up. If not the old one should do it, or I'll have to shake it. So Van anyone down for some ribs, Sausage or maybe sardines?

Default Official attendance post

OK, this post will be the summary of what's going down.

When: Aug 28, 1:00 pm until whenever

Where: My house, Hyde Park, NY (PM for address)

What: BBQ, 944 gathering, Dyno session

Why: End of summer party and unlimited bragging rights for the most HP

What to bring: Your 944 (turbos and NAs welcome - other cars will have to wait until the end, since the strap-down configuration will be different); hearing protection (cars will be running WOT - bring ear plugs or ear muffs if you have them)

Restrictions: Can't dyno a 4WD car - don't even ask; no unmuffled cars - this is a residential neighborhood; nothing exceeding 600 HP - that's as high as the dyno goes

Details: We'll pretty much dyno the cars back-to-back and do 1 or 2 runs per car; after everyone's had a turn, we can can re-dyno cars people have "tuned"; if you want to tinker with your car, bring tools (and be realistic - I don't want to see people changing turbos in my driveway )

Who's attending and what they're brining: (to give us an idea of how many people to feed)
-Van (dyno)
-Porschhhh951 (and wife) (??)
-MM951 (lost HP)
-CRM... (Japanese Coleslaw)
-Minho78 (ribs, sausage or maybe sardines & red wine)
-James Chimney + 2 friends (homemade salsa & chips)
-Theykallmekem (cupcakes)
-Oldjammer (??)
-Reno808
-Technoduck
-?? JBrown
-?? Gstreev
-?? MK_951

I just had another thought - can a crafty person make up 2 little fun trophies? We could give them out for "the highest HP" and the "best prepared car" - decided by a vote of all in attendance.
