John and Van, it was great to meet you guys in person finally. Always nice to put faces with the names ive been seeing on here for years. And thanks again Van for setting this up for us!

Ill try and have the videos up on youtube tomorrow sometime.. my uber slow 10 year old laptop is the only one with a firewire port. If i turn the laptop on now it might finish booting up by the time i wake up.
Damn good to finally meet you after all these years Jon. Your car looked great!

Really nice meeting you too man. At least you made it out that's the important thing.

lol yea, sorry about gassing you out John. I think it was a combination of me letting it coast down in gear and the dyno brake at the same time causing some uber engine vacuum. Whats really sad is i actually brought a camera with me and you still took more pictures with your phone!

Real good time! Thanks Van (and Van's very patient spouse.....)!! Meeting you all was great.

With all the nice cars there, I'm still most envious of Van's garage.

Dedication Award nominees:
- Drove car there, didn't break anything, drove it home (some luck involved)
- Brought street legal car on trailer (lack of confidence)
- Drove car and almost made it (overconfidence)
- Showed up WITHOUT car, actually own one (it will be fixed any day now.... )
- Showed up and doesn't even own one (also nominee for Intelligence Award)

Lastly, I should have specified the Photoshop enhancements I wanted. My car and I both look better in MY pictures!

Had a good time, even if I was a bit frustrated at first about my ignition rotor melting less than 10 miles from Vans house and being 5 hours late to work - but I fixed my car on the way home and am running strong again.

Nice meeting all of ya

I'm pretty sure everyone already knows this but, the blurry pictures in my posts are videos. Just click on them and it will start up. Had a great time meeting everyone. I think we should twist van's arm to make this a annual event.

Next year I promise to bring something other than my daily.

I hope no one minds if I post some dyno charts??

This is comparison of 3 of the "mid level" 951s we had:

And here are the 2 "heavy hitters":

And, last, but not least, the NAs:

I feel a little better about my dyno run last month, as I made the same HP and 8 ft lbs more TQ then the "heaviest hitter" - As the rest of you understand not enough

Some interesting differences in the fuel curves and HP of those NAs..

Jon: FWIW, your car has similar HP to when I dynoed mine at the same boost, I can email you my chart if you want to compare

I think Rob's car probably has some major vacuum leaks causing the uber lean AFR.

Lou's car is apparently also running a 951 transmission in it. We compared the ratio of his chart and mine and they are nearly identical. His engine also has some work done on it they said, a unknown cam, adjustable timing gear and headers. My guess is he needs to check the timing is right and maybe tune the car for what it has on it.

It was interesting to see the similarities between all 3 of the 951's running a 60-1 though. Mine at 251 @ 16psi, Craig's at 266 @ 17psi and yours previously at 265 @17psi. If my assumption about the dyno a little low is right, i think it means 275-280whp @ 15psi and probably right around 300whp @ 17psi with the 60-1 HiFi. Also gives some merit to the 10-11bhp per 1psi thought.

I was really surprised with 60-1 numbers. I was actually hopping your numbers to be arround 325rwhp at least, since some people on RL claimed an average of 300rwhp with the K27-6.

Well Manny, this was a great experience for me, because it will help me figure out what needs calibration or more attention.

In looking at everyone's AFRs (and especially the GT3's which, not only was it the most modern, but also the most stock), I think everyone's were recorded as being on the lean side. I'll have to figure out if I can get some other kind of wideband hookup to calibrate the Dynojet one.

Also, I do think the HP readings might be a little low. The NA cars were making between 101 and 112. If they really had 150 HP at the crank, minus 20% for drivetrain losses and tire deflection, etc., we'd expect them to have 120~ish HP.

However, that GT3 is supposed to be around 380... minus 20% would be 304 HP - and we recorded 311 HP. So, he seems right on the money.
