No track experience, mine were on my audi and had very nice grip except for one instance I remember, in the rain without much warning.

I did notice I got the HRI's though.... not ZRI. So I guess that would be the difference?

yeah. HRi's are a lesser tire. great for your ford focus... and rental cars...

I've used them on track at HPDE. I run around a 350 lb spring rate and koni yellows at full stiff. I got them as a rain tire for when the R compunds are too worn to run in the rain but had a horrible time on them. The back had no grip. I normally like running in the rain but not with these. They did fine in the dry though. I would not get them again for my car with my current set-up. I was surprised by my experience in the rain with these.

I got a set to replace a set of Yokos.

I don't dig the rears at all. The back feels 'swingy' with these on, and I notice also that the fronts are nice and 'broad' while the rears look slightly 'stretched'.

I'd have to say that I'm not altogether keen. -I'm planning to auto-X it as soon as a heavy work project allows me to take time to do it, but I'm expecting it to be a lot less 'planted' at the rear, based on steering input etc.

I just paid $360 for four Sumitomo HTR2's. The HTR3s are just a bit more, but from what I've read they lose grip faster in mileage.

well I have a set of 4 Fuzion's 245/45/16 coming in from the Tire rack. We'll see how it goes...stay tuned.

Might be different of course, -I have the OEM 951S forged wheels, with the wider rear rims, but it's just a little too wobbly at the back for me to feel completely 'secure'.

Keith - I re-read your post #20. Did you install 205's on all fours. The F & R's should fit/look pretty much the same if the fronts are 205 and rears 225. The rears shouldn't have a stretched look.

Fuzions are cheap tires my tire guy says, the Hankooks are better and cost less...

Hankooks are better...Fuzions are ok for Mustangs, but for a Porsche?? Come on, plus the sidewalk is hideous!! It's not a mechanic, it's a guy who's been selling tires for the last 25 years at wholesale prices

Ok, then what's the point of having nice wheels and adding tire shine to a plain and dull looking sidewall? The Kumho's have a nice sidewall, so do the Potenza's and Michelin, why doesn't the Fuzion? On the track, yea sidewalls may not matter, but as I see it, this person is looking for street tires, and yes people do look at the tires and the wheels when you are stopped at a light, unless they don't care for appearance like yourself. Why settle for just performance when you can have both performance and looks?? Sidewalls go with the appearance of the car, as do the rims, sound like you don't do much detailing...

That is the sidewall in question, isn't it crappy loooking? Compare it with the SPT and you'll see what I'm talking about, picture it on a 944 turbo, which would look better??

I guess things are different here in sunny south Florida than in other areas of the country, over here, everything makes a statement, like in Los Angeles, there is great attention to detail, such as little things like tires and sidewalls, wheels, etc. of which most may overlook or not even notice. That's why we spend so much time and money on products for our cars, a hobbie for true enthusiasts, looks and apprearances matter a lot, those who pay greater attention to detail naturally have higher standards...

Let's not be hypocrits here, the foundation of this country is vanity, looks, image, so let's not go there. Everyone wants to make a statement, some do it by boasting about their engine or their paint job, so don't contradict yourselves. The Fuzion goes well on the Mustang cause it is much like the Mustang design, dull and plain, which is the same for any other American car design, tasteless...

Ouch!! That stung...kinda like pissin in the wind, it's gona to get it allll over yourself.

The choice for me was purely a financial one due to the limited choices in the tire size I wanted to install 245/45/16. Would've love to put some Toyo Proxes R888 or Continental ContiSportContacts, just couldn't afford $1,000 in rubber at the moment.

BTW - I live in the O.C., it's even worse than LA, we're not all that vain.
