You will also need the large drive gear that mounts on the LSD which is different on an open diff. Do you also have the LSD gear. If so, I am interested.

I have the gear but for an open differential, I have a lsd tranny but it will be awfull to break it for a handfull of dollars, I can't be that cheap

FYI - I understand there is a guy that makes these gears as they are NLA from Porsche. I think he gets about $400 each though.

There would appear to be a market for making an open diff gear into a LSD gear. The gear applies little force on the pump gear so it could be done by cutting out the same pattern of the LSD gear into the open diff gear As I remember the small holes are for the mounting bolt and the larger ones are allowing for clearance for bolts on the LSD unit. I do remember someone posting about making a LSD gear from a open diff gear many years ago.
