I'm guessing that in that position it becomes a whale tail!

I thought I’d help clear up a few myths about the advantages and disadvantages
You just HAVE TO do a Laser reflectivity test on the flat black. Time to even up the 'Balance of Power', 3000 foot range is ....Unfair.

I'd actually like to see...normal car with quad Laser Interceptor jammer vs flat-black 944 with the headlights down, no jammer.

Can you clarify on weight?

Another option for matte. http://www.xpel.com/products/stealth_film.asp.

This allows reversibility as well as protection, and it is far easier to install than vinyl.

^ Thumbs up for the Xpel products guys ... Roy at www.porschedecalshop.com who many of us have purchased cut vinyl P-Car graphics from swears by the product over 3M and Venture Shield

On a separate note and this is to ^ YOU ... Can you do your matte films in different colors as we have an application requirement for this now?

Cheers,
Mark

It's possible. Probably only in black though. It seems like most of those who want to do matte want black over other colors. We're really just waiting to see the demand for this sort of thing first.

Beni's just returned home from the factory and whilst I continue to deal with the headache web server migration issues (due to many reports that people have had problems accessing our site), I've just received a few pics from Beni ... But first a quick picture of the car as he purchased it as I just found the image:

Below: the wreck as purchased:

And now onto what he has been up to this evening ...

First he cleaner the carpets and removed most of the interior panels so that he could do the job properly and get the car looking as close to new on the inside:

Whilst in there he tackles the annoying micro scratches on the clear polycarbonate gauge cover with some Swissvax Cleaner Fluid VC which removed all micro scratches with a gentle hand application. This product is great for everything from plastic convertible hood screen which have become badly scratched and opaque in color, down to head unit displays and even your mobile phone. He then applied the Swissvax Plastic Screen Wax which adds a great layer of protection, helps stop reflections.

Below are the products used (Swizöl is referred to as this is the name for Swissvax in Switzerland and Germany):

Check out the results after 20 mins work:

^ Looking like brand new and that's taken with a flash

Beni then started fitting back the newly refreshed door seals etc and will be re-dying the seats even though after an initial application of Swissvax Leather Cleaner Strong and Leather Feed look like they have only seen about 20k miles:

A couple more of the outside after he next removed the engine ready for painting the bay:

A call was made to our local Michelin rep to order up a set of Pilot Sport Cup’s for the 993 Turbo hollow spoke rims so hopefully next week we should see some pics of the car sitting low on all fours ready for the bolt on goodies

Did you replace or refurbish the door seals. I was just looking at the ones on my 89 and they are definitely looking OLD. If you refurbished the seals and the bellows around steering wheel, what was product/process unless its a trade secret?
Nice interior!
Thanks

^ Swissvax Gum Feed (AKA Seal Feed): http://www.swissvax.us/merchant.mvc?...Category_Code= ... not cheap but a little goes a VERY long way and each application will last well over a couple of years

OK! Very Cool!
THANKS!
Worth every penny if it revitalizes old rubber without making a greasy shiny mess.
