I have 225's on a 8.5" and 265's on a 10". I'd say 255's should fit just fine on the 9.5"

yeah. I've been brushing up on my tire maths. 255's would be 10.03 inches. Now I've got to squeeze them into the front end!

Guys have fit 275s in front with smaller springs and the perfect offset.

It'll fit. Don't get wrapped up in the measurements, as they change wildly dependent on the tire manufacturer.

Can you put a smaller tire on a 9.5" wheel? Sure you can, but I wouldn't.

What's the point of buying 9.5" wheels if all you're going to mount on them is a 255 tire? At that point you should go with an 8.5" wheel instead.

The offset is correct. I don't want to do any major suspension mods for a good while. It's not on the top of the list. There are a number of other things first. I bought these because the deal was so good.

I'm going to put as much tire as I can on the fronts. I'm going to need to get them on and "work" with it, a bit.
