Brian – what’s up with the multi toothed trigger wheel on the cam? If you are using it just for the full sequential trigger a single tooth would work better.

Nope, steel. It will be a Hall sensor.

Im going to test that cam trigger wheel for Dave, as it will be a viable option for some people. Me personally im going to use either stock + single cam sync, or 36-1 + cam sync, or 60-2 + cam sync. I have trigger wheels for all of the above

The cam sync wheel looks like the one in the picture, but its only got a single tooth.

The CEP cam gear is awesome, im very impressed with how well its made. And the price was fantastic

mmm i think a more worth while test is lock the crank and see just how much cam can be moved back and forth wich is why i condemn the idea yeh i can see how handy it can be for a trigger install.
I would sujjst the 36 tooth over the 60.. when over layed on the oscilloscope 60 trigers are to fine so if the cams moves and the syc (single) drifts at all it trips over to the next tooth easier than it does with 36 putting your timing one tooth out .
and any more than 8 triggers gives a nice fast enough crank speed update for the ECU

Acura NSX uses cam for timing. (first of four closest to the crank pulley in relation to belt direction) I really dont think its all that bad. BUT.. I m really looking forward to using my 60-2 flywheel. Nothing but problems on tmy old set up. Which could have been the sensor, and a bunch of other reasons, but this way SHOULD be trouble free.

Cyl head and cam tower just sitting on top for some testing. Oil cooler housing on, lots of other stuff done.

CEP awesomeness

Checking for clear space, I think im going to remount the cam trigger sensor so that its behind the belts and trigger wheel, sensing the wheel in chopper mode and safely protected by the belt covers. Its going to be bolted to one of the mounting bosses between the cam gear and upper balance belt sprocket.

One of todays projects, long probe temp sensor mounted in the turbo drain banjo bolt.

Rear wheel speed sensor disks. Sensors will be mounted off the transaxle if all goes as planned. This is to get left and right wheel speeds into the Link, for traction control and boost by gear, etc.

And for laughs, this is my original crossover to wastegate tube... This is how I got the car by the way

Hi Brian
That cam gear is real sweet looking...
Why are your balance shaft end bolts so loose?

This build is awesome! I can't wait to see this completed.

Where can i find more info on the CEP products? The website seems limited.

Phil
P.S. where are you located?

AW where did you get those wheel speed trigger wheels ?? thats a great idea you get wheels speeds but get to keep the narrow track read and you can now use low or high offset wheels
