Default Ceramic heat sink thingys?

I was up under the glove box with the DME and noticed two round/cylindrical white ceramic heat sink type things right behind the back upper portion of the glove box. Any idea as to what these are? The wires coming off of them are extremely corroded and I can't figure out what they go to. Thanks. Very strange.

Those are the resistors for the radiator fans. Those are used for the slow speed.

Thanks for the info....Wow...Those will need replacing, as well. The wires are an exposed, corroded green, crusty mess.

Yep, that's it. It's just the wires that are destroyed...the ceramic still looks perfect. Also, mine has a circular plug type thing with two wires that attaches next to it... looks to have been unplugged for a long time.

Hi Ziff, Cut back the wires as far as possible and solder in new wires. Don't forget to slide on the shrink wrap to cover the joints.

Yeah, mine look worse than those! Problem is, I'm gonna have to contort myself into a pretzel to repair them, as mine are up high behind the glove box...(don't ask how I even found it in the first place..)

Still hoping the car gets stolen one night...of course the thieves would need a tow truck...

The extra components mounted on the bracket are Thermal Cutout switches. Normally wired in series with the Resistors. You'd need to check the exact wiring, don't have my manuals handy.
I rewired mine all the way back to the fuse box, the wiring had gone so hard and insulation cracked everywhere.

I re-wired mine and moved them right below the headlight motor
