You read my mind! I'm planning on blue stripes and thought of a blue engine bay to match.. but it might be a little ricey ...

Looks like White will be the safe way to go although I might mock something up before making the final descision.

What are you doing for the engine color scheme, hoses, cam housing, intake ect ?
The hoses and cam housing will be blue. The intake polished. Fuel rail polished aluminum. No distibutor. No belt covers.

yeh we know but it's for Ricky bobby fans ..
definatly white perhaps some strategic use of the bitumen under paint and seen on the lower part of the car some where around the trouble sports its kind of resists dents and scratchs and is perhaps easier patch up

Just curious; is that stuff like a mylar sort of material ( thin film)? I've got accounts at DeComp and Groves Aircraft Supply for doing vac laminates and looks like the sort of products they would handle. Got a product name?

$26.95/lin ft . Not as bad as I thought.
How would it hold up on the bottom of the intake I wonder?

Truck bedliner actually increases dirt. Dirt gets trapped in the little pits, especially mixed with oil. I had a Jeep that I bedlined the interior and it was IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean.
