How many lbs of boost do you run on the street?

Take our boost numbers as what people are running for THEIR set ups. Do not adjust boost at all until you are set up for it with chips/tune and supporting mods and wideband for sure.
With that said, I am currently running 20 psi on pump (tuned for it) with very cold intake charge air and supporting mods. When the weather turns warmer I probably back to 18psi; until I get with Rogue and then we will see....

15-16 psi, 91 oct.
Another thing worth noting is that the stock valve springs are a limit to your max boost as well. The stock springs were designed for 12psi and 6500rpm. You may experience valve float, especially if you exceed both of these old limits.

18-20 psi on 93 octane when it's really cold outside (40's)
Normally I run 18 or lower though. In the summer I plan to reduce it maybe 16 or so.
My afr's are never over 11.8 and I don't run overly advanced timing either.
Once I have the ostrich hooked up though I'll probably dial the boost down in favor of more timing. Right now I have no absolute timing control so I make up with more boost.

Good point that I had in mind already. I should have stated that nothing was going to be done to the boost until I had the electronics working to see what my setup was doing first. Stock defaults a little rich I understand. I have no idea of what my stock setup is doing. I know we got a rebiult "stock" turbo when I had it rebuilt. I replace everything in the engine with "stock" Porsche parts. Just how good or poor it is working I don't know. This is my first 951 and I have not driven any others to judge it against. My mechanic told me it was not the hottest "stock" unit he has seen but it was a real strong, smooth, above avg car running car. That may be smooth talk from a seller to a buyer but I have no reason to doubt it. My point is your advise it well taken and I will not do anything until I have a baseline. I will need to get help with the electronics installation for this reason. Thanks for the good words of advise, as I have learned the cost of these jewels.
