Get a Bee*R rev limiter =]
You will have flames all over the place and it's pretty neat. Uses ignition cut like a good rev limiter should.
Has two set ups also, so you can do one for launching and one for near where you shift.

But unless boost is being built on staging, there is not any real benefit is there?

I was always thinking of some mechanical solution; i.e. installing or modifying our parking brake into some sort of "trans brake" for brake boosting at the line.

Well, the fact that flames come out the back leads me to believe it will spool the turbo because the batmobile had flames.

I'll be installing an MSD 6AL here in a few weeks with a two-step.

Meh, I wouldn't worry too much about the 1/4 mile. Sure it's a number that people throw out there all the time but it sounds like you have a 12 sec car with a bit more practice. And besides, on the highway from 60 to 120 your car is fast enough to embarrass a lot of $100k cars.

I agree with you, I've never cared too much about the 1/4 mile in this car. I've only been maybe 3 times in the 5 years I've owned the car. I really am glad I went though just to see what I was trapping at and to weigh the car at least.

I always admit to my buddies that they'll kill me in the 1/4, but they'd better not even try to do a 40 or 60 roll against me. Oh how I can't wait to feel 400whp in 2nd or 3 gear!

Clue: They weren't driving their own car.

In years past when I would run other cars on the street and post results in forums they would ask what the 1/4 was and I would have to explain that the 1/4 time of my car is no indication of the car's actual performance. lol

One of my last runs on the street was with a fairly modded Supra single turbo and we did a 2nd-4th run and stayed dead even and found out later that it was a low 12 sec car and I know for sure my car would not put up low 12's.

I have a VHS tape of my first 86 944 turbo pulling off a 14 sec 1/4 mile back in 1994 at a drag strip. The car was bone stock.
I also raced my friends 94 ninja zx750r at the time on an air strip at a rolling first gear start and walked away from him like he was standing still. The 94 750 ninja wasn't the fastest bike but, for the time I was pretty surprised I pulled away from him.
