Question Injector question. and (Anyone have a stock injector laying around?)

I have one leaking from the shell. Looking for a cost effective stock replacement for the moment.

Open to other suggestions too.

Cole - Just went thru this....

If I had a suggestion, it to either get a confirmed good one or get a couple candidate used ones and have your favorite injector cleaner and tester verify they are good.

Several one my candidates started leaking during the cleaning process which I hear is not that uncommon. I was getting them one at a time so it was a drawn out process. Would have been much faster if I had just had a couple to drop off.

I was not comfortable tossing an unknown injector on the car and maybe having one hole run lean.

Sorry I don't have one for I can offer you. That hat still looks good and is the envy of my local 951 crew.

Having a hard time finding any at a reasonable price.

I have access to a stock set of B5 Audi S4 injectors from a previous build.

Specs are.

33# at 4bar, 394cc, 52mm in length. Same connector. Anyone know if I could get away with using these in place of the stock 951 units?

http://www.injector.com/fuelinjectors.php

pick the injectors you want... you will need to know the flow rate and impedance you want, but they have just about the lowest prices I have seen anywhere...

WHOA!! According to their injector calculator the stock injectors seem way too small?

Here is my set up. What would you guys reccomend if I am changing them anyway.

-Huntley Racing Chips.
-MBC 16psi ish.
-Tial 38mm Waste gate.
-Open Air filter
-magnaflow exahust.
-Ported/polished and o-ringed head.
Nothing else engine related noteable.

If you are asking for oppnions, you are likely to get 1000 different ones...

So here is mine, I would go 55lb, 3 bar FPR, and a different chip set (MaxHpKit anyone?)...other than the MAF I am running I am close to the same setup you have, other than the changes I recommend... I am using Russels Max Tune SW, but his chips are about the best you can get, shoot him your setup and he will deliver a 99.9% CHIP SET...

OH and their calculator isn't based on BATCH firing of the injectors... you are in essence running a bigger injector because it is firing more often.... but that is another thread, and another debate to ignite...
