Default Eaton supercharger

need info about 2,5 N/A with eaton supercharger.I have 944 NA 2.5. I have a TurboS engine with 8,0:1 CR, too. Also an Eaton M90 supercharger. Into which engine should it go? turboS or N/A with low boost.

on a turbo motor the lower compression can make things a little laggy but as its not a turbo i cant see why you would even consider NA motor.
I would say the turbo motor with an ebay water intercooler and use an AC condenser to cool the water .
swap the cam from the NA on to the turbo motor they are just a shade bigger ..

Turbo engine with high boost. You need to have your tuning in order as well.

Hey Spencer, how is your build coming? I don't remember the specifics of how you were building up the engine, but it certainly looks interesting enough.

I have to agree with Adonay, start with a turbo foundation -

high comp like 9.5:1? and boost like 15 psi? because it'll work with E85

Rogue_ant (correct me if im wrong) he ran a NA block 9.5:1 comp ratio with i think around 15 psi with and advance timing up to 20 degrees. or something along them lines.

I don't think that engine lasted very long...

Yep - 9.5:1 CR ~17-18psi of boost on E85. Max timing at that boost was 28° @ 6800rpm..
The motor lived for ~9 months. No knock at all, the NA pistons simply aren't strong enough to live for long under that much cylinder pressure, here is my thread about it:

https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...boost-low.html

If you keep boost around 10psi, and no knock, I think the NA engine would live a long time.

i think that if you have a turbo motor to work off of you should start with that because it is already designed to handle boost. with an M90 there is no such thing as "lag" no matter what the compression is. you can run maybe 10-15psi on the M90 (much more and it falls off in efficiency and just pumps heat) safely on the 8.0 compression with pump gas and make more power than a standard 951 and all kinds of torque.

There's always the fact that the n/a is a lighter car to start with so any boost is going to be pretty rapid.
