What you really need is the specs on the turbine and the compressor map to know if this turbo will be a good match for your app.

Did you buy this directly from vision or did you buy it used?

But surly one of this magical vendor turbos couldn't posibly have dirty old T04 E wheels in them that we can find maps for ...
Surly they must be some highly developed "SPECIFICALLY FOR 944's" top secret state of that art wheel ...

Well the deal is that it's a Kokeln turbo. Not that they have anything magical (nor does anybody else), it's that the main guy there did build two of the fastest 944 turbos ever produced and happens to be one hell of an accomplished driver as well.

That said, and knowing them, that turbo is probably sized to match a certain 951 engine setup. Which one... I have no idea. That's why I asked if he bought it new or used.

Koleln sold two turbo's for the 951.

TO4B, 60-1, Stage 3, #8 Called the "Street" turbo. Easily identify by counting 11 blades on the turbine wheel. This turbo is the same as another companies often talked about Stage 2.

TO4B, 60-1, Stage 5 (T-350), #8 Originally called "Stage V", then renamed "Club". Identify by counting 10 blades on the turbine wheel.

The HiFi.... my favorite 951 "low boost" compressor. Brings back memories...

I have the Kokeln Stage V (club) turbo on my car along with several other mods - LR MAF, Stage II head, stage II intercooler, MBC, DP WG, 3" sfr exhaust, Mafterburner, 65 lb injectors (etc, etc, you get the idea) and it is a nice turbo. Doesn't use any (and I mean zero) oil. Spools a little later than the k26-6 and the spool is more gradual as opposed to the "Hit and forget" 26-6. I believe the turbo was dyno proven up to about ~400 - 420 rwhp. Ski also had one on his track car, which was lighter and therefore it hit full boost a little earlier.

Since I am not interested in running more than 16 psi - I would opt for a smaller turbo in the future for quicker spool up.... my 2 cents.
