I just adquire a 90 S2 race car and I am undecided between selling the car as a whole or part the damn thing. The car has the tarett front and rear sway bars, camber plates and bilstein coilovers with hypercoil spring at the front and koni's adjustables at the rear. It does have a LSD S2 tranny and full cage , momo seat, Plexiglas window and also headlight ducts and the right quarter window has the cooling setup for the driver, also a custom instrument cluster, 2 sets of d90's with hoosiers. According to the seller this car wont 2nd place at buttonwillow.
Do I sell the car or do I part it? Your opinion is appreciated.

Well, for what purpose did you buy it? If anything I would say don't part or sell it, I would say use it! Race it!
For the love of 944's and racing, though.. don't part it, sell it!
I understand the whole deal with parting out these cars, I have parted a few myself and am parting out a 924 and 83 944 currently. You must get some really good deals to be able to make a good profit off these by parting them though. I can't imagine how it would possibly be more time consuming or less profitable for you to just turn around and sell something like this for more though. Anyway, I can't ask questions, I'm sure it would be a lost cause.
So, sounds like that car has lots of valuable aftermarket parts that could generate good sales, but it doesn't have a lot of the interior pieces and things that would normally add to the combined sales figure. I'm sure if you sold it complete you could get a high figure, especially if all the safety equipment are up to date and it is ready to be raced.

i would not start to break it for someone who wants the hood but if some ones lands on you door with 2 or 3 thousand and wants the engine ... ITS CHOP TIME ... so let the market decide list the car and list 3 or 4 big ticket items like trans engine etc ...and just go with what the market decides ...
