One of my favorite turbo RSX's I built had 16psi on a GT30R. I ran an 11.8@121mph in it.. (Slicks) Stock bottom end, Hondata KPRO management. That would be a tough one to hang with.. 8psi.... was that a stock greddy kit on there? (RSX)

Do we know the specs of either car? Either way, the RSX is pretty sweet.

I have stock injectors (75# ones are waiting to be installed), adjustable fuel pressure regulator at 3 bar, a new wastegate, 3" exhaust, k&n drop in filter, and a t04e turbo at 15 psi using a manual boost controller. Don't have it tuned yet unfortunately, but I will soon once my MAF and piggy back come in.

The RSX has (off his signature on some site) a Peakboost gt30 kit, DC Race Header/HKS Exhaust, Rbc, Img, Quaife Lsd, Tsx 6th gear, Competition Stage 4 Clutch, Kpro, Aem Fuel Rail/Fp Regulator
The driver said he was around 400 whp or so

That night anytime I shifted into 4th gear my car would fall on it's face, unsure why as of yet. I'm sure the rsx still would have pulled be top end, but not as badly as seen in the third run. The fourth run I missed 4th gear and you can see me fall back really quickly. He also missed a gear in the run where you see me jump ahead really far.

I don't buy 400whp @8psi for the RSX.

Depends on if you believe he was really at 8 psi or not. People in houston aren't often too honest with their mods. On a side note, this same 951 has raced a 380 whp integra (dc2) and also come out ahead. It's all about traction, break boosting, and shifting quickly really.
Fwd just has a huge disadvantage at those power levels. At 8 psi I could see the rsx being at 315 whp though...

Yeah, I've yet to run into anyone who actually was honest with their mods to be honest. In my gti I ran against a "stock turbo 200 whp" talon tsi
Ended up he had a 20g and supporting mods, we ended up neck and neck from a roll. Obviously he destroyed me from a dig, but I already knew that was going to happen.
My car really needs a tune bad, I'm unsure how much power I'm making but I wouldn't be surprised to learn it was only 270-280 whp, even at 15-16 psi.

Different countries seem to have different power figures, then you get into the different Marques and their followers. Seems that the Jap car scene is very numbers based and the kids want to believe just about anything someone tells them or the dyno can 'dial' up.
My friend saw something like 275whp at 1 bar with a Vitesse stage 3 kit down here.

this is how the jdm crowd comes up with their hp numbers

my rsx = 200 whp(even though it's crank)
+ intake = 15 hp
+ turbo = 100 hp
+ exhaust = 25 hp
+ wastegate = 15 hp
+ bov = 15 hp
+ short shifter = 10 hp
+ stickers/decals = 20 hp

for a whopping total of 400 whp
