Don't believe everything. Post the link and let me take a look if you have it. It could have been a fake ad or scam, a salvage title or numerous other things. I have a lot of things at my disposal to check into it. I will post my findings here to let you know, but I need the link so send it as soon as you can.

Not exactly a prime time of the year to be selling, either. Sports cars don't sell well in winter, plus everyone is recovering financially from the holidays...
Personally i don't worry too much about resale value of my car. It's a toy, not an investment (a good investment, at least). You'll never get out of it what you put into it.

Drivers seat torn, FUBAR'd antenna on dirvers side, looks like they couldn't get enough armor all or something to cover up all the dry parts of the interior. Probably about right, don't think it was loved that much.

It's legit. I called the Porsche dealer that has been inspecting the car for the last several years. They know the guy and said he's a good guy. Someone got a helluva buy.

It was a deal but it is going to cost a pretty penny to repair that quarter correctly where the antenna was mounted. Probably means the windshield with the original embedded antenna was broken as some time and needs to be replaced with the correct antenna windshield.
Car needs the timing belt replaced right away with a front end engine seal job and if those are 7 or 8 year old tires they probably aren't in the best of shape either.
The wear on the seat and wheels seems out of character for a 39k car. Also I would be looking for a hacked up wiring harness with that "fancy" looking alarm system.
Wonder what he means about them going up in value? Seems to me he had to have taken a loss from his 2003 purchase. If he had put the money into a 10% returning investment it would have doubled by 2010

This one looks more promising for the same price.....

Not affiliated, but a one owner 65k mile silver rose turbo S for 11,995 asking price seems pretty fair to me. Looks pretty clean.
All sportscar prices are low right now... wrong season and bad market.
I saw a 1 owner 2001 Corvette Z06 with 23k miles for 18k. That is a lot of car for that money.
EDIT : After looking at the slideshow - maybe not as clean as I thought ! That interior is pretty beat for those miles! Yikes!

Says nothing about belts having been done... So I'd budget for that and a few rubber parts. I'm about to replace my 3-year-old belts even though they've only got about 10k on them... I just can't stand the idea of old rubber being trustworthy...
But I'd probably take 12k for my '89 if I were selling it... and it's in a lot better shape than that one, even though it has six times the mileage.
