I'm no expert but it seems to work and I believe this is how most, if not all catch cans are plumbed other than ones that vent to atmosphere.
Gotcha.

So this would not act as a crank case breather in helping to elminate blow by with pressure release, but just "catching" blow by?

If you have an engine that loves to spit out its oil here is my favorite solution -
http://www.moroso.com/catalog/catego...?catcode=13400
When installed correctly it has its own drain return to the pan

In reality I prefer to fix the engine so it does not spit out oil!

That is my understanding.
Looks like there are some other options out there in terms of plumbing as Chris White has indicated above.

I'm just here to show off what I did. This can started life as a saki-a-chu-chu can or whatever. A bit fancier now.... (it is very important to recirculate the catch can back to the intake in my experience, and don't waste money on a can that isn't baffled because it isn't doing much) ....

DDP...looks like a nice set up, plumbed similar to my AMW can minus the AN fittings.
Do you have a pic of the baffle or inside of the can, I am curious to see how they differ.
Here is the AMW in two...

Nice clean install DDP what size line are you running out of the AOS delete plugs? I was thinking about just going straight -8 on mine, and I also was going put some fitting on the cam cover to pull some vacuum there.

mj- The sac can doesn't come apart unfortunately. No pictures of it inside.

Tim- -8 for those lines. Drawing from the cam would be neat, the engine in the picture has a custom cam cover that probably could have been made to accept an AN fitting to do so. However, I think that'd be overkill and I prefer to keep things as simple as possible.

In case anyone is questioning me, it is not overkill to use AN fittings on a catch can.

i guess if you really dont like to replace hoses and need something that will last longer than you will, then yes AN is the way to go lol

Of those listed in the link, any one stand out in your mind as the better option?

AN fitting this, AN fitting that, are you an aeroquip sales person?

OH and BTW, someone stole ur AOS... that catchcan ain't huked to nuttin..

Breathe dude, I'm just messing with ya.. looks good, even if it is a little dirty in there..

I have my SM in almost the same place, plumbed into the AOS and intake..

And for those who have wondered, I thought there was a cutaway pic on their site somewhere..but this drawing will have to do for now..

The first one - if you install it correctly is has a drain that you plumb back to the pan. No manual draining oil!

The hose can be removed from the top of the AOS without removing the intake. You just need either a very short screwdriver or a very long one depending on where the clamp is situated.

The SM is the easiest/best/simpliest solution for most stock 951 engines since it already has the correct size hose inlet/outlets and has a tab for easy mounting to the stock cruise control mount. Cans without baffles and ones that don't recircuate are worthless.

If you email SM he can also make your can with whatever AN or other fiting you require if you don't want the standard clamp on style and it doesn't cost much more.

Derek, comparing the diagram John posted to your second photo, looks like you have it plumed backwards... looks great though

Yup, good eye. It's been changed since the first mock-up. And thanks!
