i have a question regarding injectors, i have come across a local guy selling new 55# injectors for VERY cheap new, and they are the right impedance but the top part (end that goes into the rail) is different than the stock injectors. like, it doesnt have a groove machined for the injector clip (that is fixable) but it also doesnt have a recess on the topmost part for an o-ring. also it is about 1/8" longer than the 944 injector.

think id be ok with modifying an injector? or is that something to avoid?

when i say cheap, i mean like, a full set for about the cost of a single siemens unit.

My car has been driven with those injectors less than 1500 miles. The car has been in various degress of upgrading. Kind of like a perpetual project....

How does it seal on top??

I would probably avoid them.

I have used(am still using) DSM injectors. It requires a larger O-ring on the bottom and double O-rings on top (iirc)but they work fine.

sid, can you pm me a picture of those injectors? or what year? im assuming its off a 4g63.

i think i might buy one injector to check it out. i came across something where someone used the particular injectors on a turbo volvo with standard fuel injector seals.

These are the injectors that Sid is using, IIRC:

What is the resistance of the 944NA injector?

V2Rocket_aka944 I sent you a private message with brand new Siemens injectors. I also posted a thread on rennlist since I saw rennlisters looking for the same injectors.

i got your pm, i am exploring this other option first due to the much lower price. it will probably come down to me buying a fancy set from you or otherwise but i might as well find out

V2Rocket_aka944 I don't sell any parts, Usually I search things for me and then I share with rennlisters. I also posted about new bosh Idle valves and I'm hoping I can get them for less so that people that are having issues will replace them. Sorry I'm an engineer not a sales guy.

Will those siemens 55lb injectors work without ballast resistors? I saw these on the following link but says they need ballast resistors. I have a 1990 uk 951 (with chio to allow 55lb injectors)
