Default Paint Color Q

Quick question.
I want to repaint my 86 turbo. It is currently India Red (Guards) and I want to keep it that way.

I need to know where I can get the correct paint color and the manufacturers color code!

Thanks!
Ted

I think I wasnt clear.

Who makes a paint that will match? Do I simply go to the automotive paint store and tell them the color code from porsche or do they have an alternate color code of thier own?

And paint recommendations? DuPont, PPG, etc.

I know really nothing about this!

PPG makes some nice paint. I've also used Sherwin Williams Automotive with good results. Just take the paint code into the store and they will be able to mix whatever you need up.

Currently, Porsche uses Standox paint, which is a subsidiary of DuPont.

Glasurit makes a great Guards red used by high-end P-car body shops.

Tell lthem the year and the code. They'll mix it in any type paint (single stage, base coat, etc) that you can afford. Be ready for sticker shock.
