You just have to love it when a 951 can still play with the newer and much more expensive P cars.
A good customer in Europe just emailed me the followings (I'm posting with his permission):
The 951 is still a 2.5L running: Vitesse Stage 2 kit, VR Sledge Hammer (Big Valve) head and Vitesse Cam. He was running V-FLEX and E85.
After the testing, it appears that the RUF 997TT owner now wants to upgrade the turbos.![Cheers](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/beerchug.gif)
(I will post the picture of both cars on the track, as soon as I'm able to upload it).
Edit: The Customer has a Stage 2 kit not the Stage 3 kit.
A good customer in Europe just emailed me the followings (I'm posting with his permission):
"Yesterday we made an acceleration test at the track between my car at 21 psi (456 BHP and a weight of 2895 Lbs) and a 997 RUF (550 BHP and a weight of 3290 Lbs) from 62 mph to 143 mph.
I enclose one of the pictures,
the RUF won 2 and my car won 2. The two cars have the same acceleration."
I enclose one of the pictures,

Wow, 456bhp at 21 psi is impressive John. Be nice to see some video if your customer has any. Sounds awesome.

Patrick, 456bhp is a bit more than double the original output of the engine. The same dyno was used to dyno a stock 951 which came at expected power figures. I think this particular engine has a bit more in it (3-4psi more).
I'll ask him about any videos from the track, maybe he has some to share. I just have a picture of the 997TT and the 951 side by side on the track. For some reason "uploading pictures" is not working.
The good part is that I have a open invitation to drive the 951 on the track, maybe next summer

21psi on E85 is a doddle. Having said that it make sense that the higher boost you run, the faster things should wear out.
Sounds great John. Hope you get a chance to drive it. Be interesting to know what other mods he's running such as suspension, brakes etc???

The car is used as a track car. Track miles do not compare to street miles. The customer keeps his car in tip top condition (lots of maintenance). So far he has been running for years.
On the street, you will not be able to sustain the loads like you see on the track.
Regardless, the more power you get out of the engine, the more heat you have to deal with, the more wear you will experience.
