Need Help with OEM CD player, and picking out a Short Shift kit!!
I have the oem cd player that came with my 951. It has the Hi-FI sound system option, comes with the blaukpunt cd player. The problem is I don't have the manual and it's asking me for the code. I tried checking with the POrsche dealer but the can't look it up in their computers. What can I do, is there any way to contact blaupunkt or get the code through my Vin#???
Now my other question is, I want to buy a short shift kit but there are so many kits available I don't knoe which one would be better. Price wise and functionalty wise. I've seen the kolken, scheen or somewhat, LR, Deutschnine...what are your thoughts?

Regarding the short shift kits, I can only speak of the ones I used. I had a Kokeln and didn't like it. The one I had, and loved was a Weltmeister. See the link below. Also, the link to one that Paragon sells, not sure who makes it though.

The one paragon sells looks like a Schnell. They aren't that great of quality, but they work. As you can see from the picture, theres not much material around the one hole, it's really thin on mine.

I've had the Schnell for a few years now, and it has worked excellent. It's the least expensive one out there, but for something that is a very simple design that didn't bother me.
I'd recommend it.
I'd recommend it.

anyone else has other short shift kits?? I'd rather pay a little bit more for better quality if that's the case. Although if it works fine then thats another story. But which ones out there are good quality short shifts? any one???

I purchased the LR short shift kit. Installed it on car, drove around the block and immediately sold it on Ebay. Piece of crap, 100%. Have heard great things about the Schnell kit though.

Try www.online-unlock.com for the radio code. When I bought my MB E420 the radio was locked. I used this site for getting the radio code for the Becker radio with great success. Only $3 fee. Hope it helps.
