Default FS. K27/6 Turbo SOLD - Split Second Fuel Controller still available

I purchased this turbo new from Powerhaus as a K27/29 Hybrid with a #6 thermal coated hot side. It has about 6,000 miles on it. I am moving up to a larger turbo for my track car. Looking for $600 shipped OBO. Car put down 352 RWHP and 387 RWT @ 19 PSI. The turbo is still in the car, but will be removed shortly. Very clean and in excellent condition.

Split Second fuel controller is about a year old. Comes with software and installation instructions. Great addition if you are not currently using an sort of fuel management. Comes with MAF plug for Autothority unit. Not sure if the plug is universal or not. Full laptop control of fuel. $100 shipped.

I will post pictures of the fuel controller shortly. The turbo will be a few days. If anyone is hot for the turbo, I can have it out this weekend and shipped on Monday.

I used the Split Second fuel controller when I was running an Autothority MAF. Used Autothority chips. Same turbo

What is the difference between the K27/29 and the K27/DR that powerhaus sells? Also at what RPM do you get full boost. My 86 is strictly street, would this work?
Thanks Bob

I'm not sure what the difference is. My invoice from Powerhaus said K27/29 Hybrid. Full boost is realized before 3,000 RPM I believe. My car puts down 300 lbs of torque @ 3200 RPM (17 PSI). I will email you the dyno sheet. For some reason I can't post pictures.

A K27/K29 hybrid is a K29 compressor wheel cut down to fit into a K27 compressor housing.

A K27DR is a K27 compressor wheel that has been "clipped" into to save weight in an attempt to get it to spool faster (which I don't like doing because it totally changes the compressor map into something else).

I am wondering how you make 352rwhp with a K27/6.

That seems awfully high to me.

Boost. A lot of it.

Honestly, I don't remember how much but it was pretty high. Too many years ago.

The thing with these K27's is that they work good at higher pressure ratios for the stock engine.

I think the head has some minor port clean up on the intake side only. Other than that it was just the usual bolt ons.

Tony is that the K27-K29/6 that he is talking about or K27 in general?

He is running 100hp more than my K27/6. I am just not seeing how to get another 100hp out of a K27/6

I am going to try (have a new MAF system sitting waiting to be installed), and maybe some tuning will allow me to break 300hp, but i dont see making 350rwhp with a K27/6.

Maybe i need to upgrade it to a K27/8 (or this k27-29 is a beast?).

Not sure who you are talking about.

But It's pretty easy to hit around 330RWHP with a K27/6.

What the recipe for 330hp with a K27/6? How much boost are we talking? 19psi?

I will have the fuel and controls.

I am all ears (and not being a smartazz). I would love to see 330rwhp from my K27/6.
