Default Bigger Snorkel Project

I got board sunday and decided to enlarge my snorkel.
First off my car:
I am running a larger turbo SFR stage 1, vitesse MAF stealth, SFR headers and 3" full exhaust with his quiet muffler, 72lb injectors, vitesse boost controler running from the SMT6 piggyback, ported and polished head, and finally JE lighter pistons with 8.2:1 compression ratio.
I knew that my snorkel was now the restrictive link in my set up. So I decided to get creative.

First I took took my best shape snorkel and cut it down the center underneath.
Then I cut my extra snorkel as seen in the first picture
Then I used a bunch of ***** to enlarge the snorkel to the bigger size.
I then cut the piece from the old snorkel to fit the new enlarged crack.
Then all it took was a polly welder, which is nothing more than a different tip soldering iron, to melt it back together.

In all it enlarged it about 40% more in volume. I still think that it is not quite big enough but it should flow about 40% more air and give me a good top end hp jump. I will dyno it when I get a chance for you guys to see how much of a restrictive point it is.

Next you need to enlarge the opening between the Air Box and the MAF. Open it up to 3" to improve the flow.

well, I'm a big kid. Read, "a bunch of *****" and, "enlarged crack" then laughed out loud. just sounds like a "dirty" job.

Great. Just remove the metal gasket from the Stealth adapter and you are set to go.

Only restriction left is where the snorkel attaches to the airbox

I dont think that the air box is restricted there. It really opens up as the air enters the air box. That is where I pulled all of the ***** out. (oh boy I am really setting my self up)
