Default Everyone say goodbye to my car.

Looks like she is going to a new home. I'm promised she will be looked after and taken care of.

I'm at a loss for words. This car has been my world for so many years. I have so much history with it. Its not even about the money as much as the memories. This car has always been reliable regardless of what setup was on it(and there have been several over the years). This last setup with Vitesse is by far the best yet. On 17psi it just pulls, and pulls, and pulls.

I'm a mixed bag of emotions. I've had several beers tonight to numb the pain and I'm trying not to think about it too much. I decided to go ahead and post this thread to seek comfort in my fellow brethren. You guys have always been there for me, and the car. Thankyou so much for everything. Its been one hellva ride.

I'll let the new owner chime in at his discretion.

I'm sorry, but look at it this way... it isn't and end..it's jsut a beginning for something else...

Good luck with your new direction...

Sorry it had to end... but... there is always another one available down the road...

I echo JKOAW - look to the future and not the past... Something new and different will come. Treasure the memories, but look to the next project

You can both love the old car and love a new one. Clearly the old car has a place in your heart. Glad you're focusing on your good memories of it.

Reminds me of ex-girlfriends - we had special times together, but ultimately there came a time when we had to part ways. They all have a place in my heart but I still love my wife dearly.

Yes it will take sometime for the new toy to be completed but, there will really be no comparison between that car and this one. I will always still love my little 944 though. On to other things now. Gonna try and not look back too much. I'll still lurk around here though.

You guys aren't gonna throw me off the reservation are you?

I know how you feel, I wasn't even around when the car carrier came and took mine away after the fire.
Thought about fixing but decided it was best to part ways rather than seeing it in my driveway every day.

My condolences. Great videos. Impressive on the flames, too. Good luck with whatever is next.

Something that will easily drag the entire 944 turbo section of this forum...
