How much is a used set going for nowadays.

Just checked out the lifters and of the 8, there are 5 different styles of "INA" stamped on em. What were the original ones stamped? Are these the infamous ****ty ones that go bad?

FWIW, all 8 seem to be very hard (cannot compress) with the button fairly low. I'll pressurize em and see if that helps later on tonight. off to school now..

I spend a lot of time researching what I need to look at before I start work, I do all my own work, and have been doing this for a day or two...

I also have 2 copies of the FSM that I religously use when doing work... you would be amazed at the number of questions posted that can be found by looking...

AND I remember 95% of what I read, not photographic, but close... Makes me good at what I do...

If I find good info (spec for compression of the hydraulic lifters in this case) I file it, and keep it for future refference...

How Bout this one?

and I can find it even when I am on a different comp (like at work right now...)

I've got a pair as well out of an N/A - should be the same - but you might check the part #'s. Just want to get them out of here so make an offer if you still need some! Shipping should be low.

For what it's worth, I bought new INA lifters, as sold by Porsche, and have had no trouble. I have not seen credible evidence that new INA lifters are any more likely to go bad than others -- there seem to be plenty of rebuilt motors running them with no issues.

(I have a bunch of old lifters if that's what you are looking for...)
