Pretty sure it was only an (expensive) option.

Nice S car! Love the color.

Yup, very expensive option and one that I am trying to duplicate right now. I just need to get the seats to the right specialist and reupholster them with the original 88TS funky plaid fabric. Did I mentioned that it was expensive?

I have to say, after having the sport seats in my '87, along with ABS, I would find eitehr extremely hard to live without. It was definitely worth the money.

I recently sold a set of heated black leather sports seats. Still wonder if I made the right choice...

Dude, was it expensive to have the seats redone?

I have an '87 Ocean Blue 951 thats been heavily built using a bunch of Vitesse equipment. Any interest in a swap (and no, it wouldn't be straight up, I'd need some cash as my car is very well sorted, heavily optioned and well built, sorry! lol)? I would kill to get a Glacier 951.
It was the DME. And the KLR. And the fuel pump. And the alarm system. I made a separate thread about it (https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...=spark+options), I took those pictures amidst the diagnosis.

Not interested in a swap. My track car is very, very well sorted, as I found out at its first DE a couple of weekends ago. It is all suspension (Leda's, and all of Racer's Edge's spherical bearings, torsion bar mounts, etc.), but the only motivation I have to add power is to prevent GT3's from passing me (without a signal, mind you), only to have me ride their bumper through every part of the track but the longest straight. I'm the type that does calibration work, myself, though John is one of the very few vendors I would buy something from based entirely on the fact tht he is the guy that does the work. Karl Poeltl at Racer's Edge is the other (I know Karl from working with him on a BMW engine, and have had several e-mail exchanges with John about another type of car to know I can trust him entirely).

Thanks for teh offer, though.

Say, now if you've got, say a '57 Les Paul gold top and a '61 SG you might let go, we can talk......

I have a '62 SG Standard (I think the mortised neck joint is much better than the '61, FWIW), but its not going anywhere. If you want to come by, tho, you are more then welcome to play it!

My wife would kill me if I traded off my current 951, especially for another one, so its just as well.
