Default a couple logs on the way in this morning

I thought I'd throw up a couple of screen shots of my Zietronix logs from the drive in today. I have been turning up the boost a little more and watching AFR. I know it's a little rich but I have been creeping on it. It should spool better once I get the afr's down more there are three total here... one is where it hits 15psi on a 4th roll on, the next is on the same roll on, the last is the highest boost I saw today. This is my Holset H1e with custom turbine,.. Anyway .....

were you not monitoring EGTs or were they really just perfect at 200C

and how is "turning up the boost a bit" for you equivalent to 15psi lol.

I haven't hooked up my EGT probe to the Zeitronix yet.

You may want to take another look at the other logs

29PSI, weak, when you really gonna turn up boost so we can get comparative?

JESUS MAN, what the hell are you using for injectors? Fire hoses?

and the O2 on the Ziet bottoms out at 9.6:1, so I would have to say you are more than a little rich.. I just got done tuning mine because I was seeing 10:1 WOT... Good stuff man...29PSI....HOLLY CARP! and no that isn't a mistype...

I take it you went with the 5 bar MAP sensor? nice smooth AFR and RPM BTW...

the BOV is venting to Atmosphere. That is why I'm seeing the really rich readings on shift. When it is on boost the fattest I've seen is 10.50. I am targeting about a full point leaner.

Looks like a really fast spool up, too.

Will it hold that 29psi boost all the way up to redline?

oh yes and then some. This is the same turbo I ran 35 psi on.

I can look through some logs from last night showing 27 psi at 6300 rpm. I turned up the EBC slightly this morning. Today it was just too congested to run it out in 3rd or 4th

You E85 guys make me sick...I hate you all!...

I have to track 1.5 hours north to get anything other than E10 93 Octane..(speed shop that stocks 110 in cans and 104 on pump) And I'm not a chemist into homebru...

I'm sooo jealous.... Nice plots BTW...

How long do you suppose you can run at that boost level between head gaskets? Do you have knock monitoring and, if so, what kind? Must be a fun ride! I've gone to 23psi on GT104, but never had the nerve to go higher....

Well, I am not sure how long. If I were tracking it not too long I'm sure. I had ran the other car for a couple of months at ~ 29 psi daily before pushing the #3 over the top of the cylinder. The gasket was somewhat deteriorated. I am not going to drive it daily at this pressure, it is currently down to 25 psi. I will be installing a cometic along with a few other goodies w/i a week or so. So I will not be pushing my luck.

I am using a curtis counter. At this pressure and AFR I see no knock counts at all.

It is fun, and over 23 psi is where the Holset turbos really shine. I have been driving this car at 20 psi for months now, and I had forgotten how much it comes alive at high boost. It brought back memories of when I was fighting the AFM link POS that would only read up to 23 psi and how once I experienced 25 I just couldn't keep it down.

If you get a chance Tom, it is well worth trying E85.
