Default 951 "Cup Car" Clutch into '88 944?

Will a 951 Cup Car clutch setup fit in an N/A '88 944?

I had about 3k miles on my old set-up when I blew my motor, then rebuilt it. I put it together with the Spec deal from Lindsey.

My friend needs a clutch for his '88 N/A, and I need to clean out my old parts bin.If not, is anybody else interested in the set-up I have?

If so, what is a fair price for a friend?

No, I haven't fallen off the planet, No my car isn't any better than it was when i chucked the #4 rings in '07.

The only things that've changed are
1. My employer & income level,
2. The age and needs of my kids,
3. My wife's level of sympathy (gotten better!)

Why wouldn't it work, if you use the turbo flywheel everything will fit.

well you can find the old thread if you want to search for it, but it comes down to the DME counting starter ring for ignition and rpm. The ring wont fit the NA PP, and the 951 disk won't fit the NA items.

I am not going to re type everything the OP was MAG944 IIRC, maybe you can find it . I think it was in the general forum

Couldn't your friend just get his stock flywheel resurfaced and then use the rest of the parts?

rest of the parts won't bolt up together. You have to look at the na pieces and the turbo pieces to see the differences. In short though, the na flywheel has a deep recess in it to allow the PP to fit into. Also the starter ring gear fits around the PP and the na will not fit around the turbo PP and the teeth count are different
