Just purchased my first 944 turbo with LR 340rwhp kit on it. It dynos at 351rwhp/358rwtq @19lbs. The engine is a stock rebuild (10k miles). How much rwhp can it take before I need to beef up the rods and pistons?

You can put well over 400 RWHP on the stock short block. The 86 rods and pistons are forged (and pretty beefy). A/F ratio is a bigger concern....especially with our 91 pump gas.

I would be careful about running 19 psi of boost on pump gas. I run 17 lbs on pump on 92 octane in Washington. I am getting about 320 RWHP on a Mustang dyno and 350 RWHP on a DynoJet. Your numbers sound about right.
I have Pauter rods on my car but don't know if they were necessary at my hp levels (or yours). Others are probably more knowledgable.

Wow forged pistons and rods from the factory. Gotta love that!
Not sure on the turbo yet. Car and paperwork are in transit.
I'm gonna use it as a DE only car so I don't mind running 1/2 91 and 1/2 100 octane. 95 octane should keep me from detonation @ 19lbs.

I typically DE mine (up to 21 psi) with a Xylene mix (5 years running) and have good results. Even in our heat. Chip mapping is important.

Oh you could probably get about 2450 at the wheels on Pump. Add about 30 percent for race gas. But you have to turn up the afterburner and make sure the wifflenogger isn't rattling around.
Realistically, I'd say you're still in the safety range for this motor. Takes a good tune to make sure everything is "safe". I'm going to probably be purchasing LR stuff as well. I will be taking it down to OKC to have them work with it, or let Charlesworth have his way with it. Either way, I'm shooting for the same numbers you have there. How's spool for you anyway? Where does the turbo light and where do you get full boost?

I have seen all sorts of numbers but, how big exactly are our fuel tanks? I might considering going to home depot and picking up some xylene until I can find me a E-85 source.
If our tanks are 19 gal that would make a 20% mix about 4 gals. Hermmm.
