Be good to see some dyno graphs of some of the bigger motors in here.
You know a good driver can keep the car in the power band on the track - whether it's 4k or 6k RPM.

So, last night I'm leaving the parking lot, at the grocery store. A young girl, about 13 years old, I guess, looked at her Dad and pointed at my car. I could see her ask what kind of car it was. She just stared at the car as I drove bye.
How many 10-15k cars, that are 22 years old, get THAT kind of a continuing reaction?

So, in the context of CPR, the 951 has long lasting looks, tons of personality, may be high maintenance, but most of us want to spend as much time with them as possible and show them off whever possible. That's why I have mine... Just like my wife (as she looks over my shoulder).

Most first time 944 students I have had at the track really had their eyes opened up. It’s a joy to see them rediscover their cars. The best part is when the Evo / WRX guys are having brake problems, and most other modded cars are misbehaving…they weren’t built for this!
So true, sitting in the passenger seat of your own car at the track, hanging on for dear life in disbelief... That experience took seconds off my lap times!

I was going to say that I have never 'had' anybodies daugther...but then I thought about that ...I guess they were all somebodies daughter (but all legal age by the time I 'had' them...)

PS - no daughter here, just a son. The day he was born a good friend of mine's only comment was "be thankful it has *****"...

My 13 YO Daughter HATES my car "It makes me feel like I'm dragging my but on the ground" is the reason she gives, but I got to the bottom of it one day... She thinks it is too flashy... All her friends drool over the Porsches any time I drive one... the 2000 Audi they could care less about, but a PORSCHE...

SO yesterday I'm out tightening, adjusting, and upgrading... Ice cream man comes by so I buy some ice cream for the kids, guy starts to leave, but then stops his truck right next to the car... asks me what year it is... goes on to explain that he is from Romania.. and while he hasn't seen very many of them here, he used to see them all the time at "home" and wishes he could get into one... tells me he has loved them since he first saw one, and complements me on the over all condition... he was drooling...

The 951 has a special mystique for so many.. more so I think than MOST other cars.. it is one of those cars you can drive to any gearhead get together and have everyone come by to look at... it is one of those cars that EVERYONE likes, but few have been able to drive...
