Actually I was thinking it would be sweet to keep the trans as is AND add a torque tube. My dream car is a turbocharged E30 325ix with an M3 body kit...an AWD 951 would one up even that.

I have use VAG Com to check out "things" of my sons VR6 Golf. It is quite handy program to use. Unfortunately 944 models are pre OBD era, almost only tools you can connect them are Bosch tools, for example so called Bosch "hammer". The only 944 models which has "almost" OBD systems installed are late model year 944 S2's.

there is a solution that combines it all Motec.... but it know's no budget
