Default Have question about four hole vented nose panel

Does anyone know, who has the four opening vented nose panel, do the louvers come with the panel, or did you find them somewhere else...

Justin - The vents illustrated in the picture you have posted are from a 924 Turbo and are no longer available from Porsche. The owner of the car below has modified his 951 front badge panel to accept the 931 (924 Turbo) vents.

Your best option is to try and find a 931 turbo which is being parted for spares and purchase the badge panel. You will then need to do some fabrication work to your 951 badge panel to accept the vents.

Please note that the 924 and 951 badge panels are completely different shapes so this is not a retro fit job.

The 924 Turbo badage panels are becoming very hard to find now

i basically cut the vents from a turbo 924 nose and welded them in- sounds easier than it was. I also built two for 333pg333 in australia. Best bet if you are not body work inclinded is to take both nosepanels to a body shop and give them a check.

Yes it is a great job Dan.
Thanks again.
From what I hear Mark those vents themselves are not made anymore and very hard to get a hold of.

what about the 924 vented nose panel that you can get from GTRacing that they make in fiberglass...i know its not the real thing, but it fits doesnt it. Im not a huge fan of the two opening nose panel and the single one is eh. My 951 is the same color as the one in the picture i posted and i just love that nose panel

If it's for the 924 then it won't fit our cars. In fact it probably won't fit a 924 either if you believe what you read.
Also I'm betting that they don't supply the 4 vents themselves.

Don't limit your searches to US only either. You might find some breakers in UK or Europe too. You don't even need the nose panel itself, just the vents. Then you need a 951 panel to mod them into it.
Oh, and I agree that Dan's car looks great and the nose panel goes great with that colour so do it if you can.
