Like the tile says... I'm looking for the frontal area and coefficient of drag for a 951 (either measured or published by Porsche).

Anyone have those #s?

(I'll trade the CG height for them!)

I have an old magazine review that puts the drag coefficient at .31 - but let me double check.

I think you're in the ball park, Mike. I found this:

Turbo Cd with rear wiper 0.33, without 0.32
Frontal area... sources all say 1.89-1.90 m*m

I've seen 0.33 for the 951/944S2 and 0.34 for the 968. No idea on the frontal area, though.

A clear bra manufacturer might have that info for you, though!

It's been a while and I'm not about to dust any books off, so I'll go with what's available on-line.
There is a listing for the CdA of a 944S at 6.96. CdA is obtained by Cd * Area (A).
So A= CdA/ Cd. seems to simple.
It puts us around 21ft^2 to 23ft^2, with the assumption the 944S has the same Cd.

Van, I found an original factory brochure (30+ thick pages) that puts the 951 at .33 drag coeffcient and a frontal area of 1.89 square meters

Quick Reply: Can anyone give me the drag coefficient or frontal area of a 951?
