I do not think it's your plugs and the plugs you are using need less volts to creat the needed spark then the older style plugs so if you switch to the other plugs I will probably get worst.

I'm sorry but I had to LOL at that one...

they are at the rear of the engine on the top of the bellhousing.

My recommendation though is... before f'n with them, exhaust all the other ignition first . Once you play with the s/r sensors (especially if you are new to these cars) well...have mercy. The connections are old brittle rubber and you may cause more harm than good.

I'm obvisouly new to these cars so I apologize for all the "dumb" questions. What are the s/r sensors, what do they do?

Also let me add that it only seems to do this in 4th. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd doesnt seem to be affected. I'll have to take her out later and run another simulation to be sure though. Thought that might be a helpful piece of the puzzle.

they are the trigger for the computer to send the correct signal for spark timing among a couple other things

I would change plugs and gap to ~ .028 and see what it does

You didn't describe the cutout...but if it's a soft cut...ie...cough and sputter...one more item to look at (and John mentioned this) is the coil.

My car would run fine at no boost and low boost but as you combined upper RPMs and higher boosts the car would stumble and cough. Bad coil.

Its more of an immediate loss of power....I'm assuming I'm losing spark but thats just speculation.
